The following tests imply changes of the tagset. For each modification we will compare the results obtained with the Xerox HMM tagger to the results of the standard test (section 6.1.2, using a regular lexicon).
For every test we will present some relevant statistics from the standard test (cf. section 6.1) compared to the results obtained with the modified tagset, especially for those tags which are concerned by the tagset modifications.
