Taken together, these documents represent the present state of the work carried out by the EAGLES Text Corpora Working Group. However, many issues are still unresolved and need further discussions within the whole of the corpus linguistics community. It is hoped that the public dissemination of this report will create new opportunities for collaboration and will contribute, in the long term, to the creation of language resources that can be shared and used for the advancement of our field.
