Next: Value inf
Up: V E R B
Previous: Delimitation: fin vs. no-fin
The name of this feature is verbform/mood. Due to mixed
traditions of description, this feature refers to two completely
different things:
- for finite verbs, it expresses the distinction between
moods:
indicative vs. subjunctive (conjunctive) and imperative mood.
- for infinite verbs, it expresses the verbform: participle vs.
infinitive.
Refering to both distinctions with a single value is a strategy
followed by the EAGLES convention.
