The value present applies to the values ind, sub, impr, cond, inf and part.
It should be noted here that, depending on particular classes of lexical
verbs, some forms of the paradigm of indicative, subjunctive and
imperative are perfectly omograph: i.e.
ami can be either indicative or subjunctive;
ama can be either indicative or imperative.
This fact is crucial at the level of tagging, where the
disambiguation is difficult by automatic means and different
strategies can be chosen (Monachini and Calzolari 1995 and Bel,
Calzolari and Monachini 1995): (i) all the possible interpretations can
be maintained in the tag, (ii) an `underspecified' tag can be used, i.e.
a tag collapsing the information of mood (and, in some cases, of person
too), (iii) the verb-form can be manually disambiguated (see e.g.
the experience within ELSNET, Corazzari and Monachini 1995).
