Lexical descriptions typically tend to be broken up into packages, according to the traditional view of levels of linguistic description:
The CLWG has concentrated on morphology/morphosyntax (key reports are EAGLES (1996g) and the series of ELM reports, i.e. EAGLES (1996a), EAGLES (1996c), EAGLES (1996d) and EAGLES (1996b)) and syntactic subcategorisation (The key report is EAGLES (1996e)). These fields are most consolidated and thus most immediately ripe for preliminary standardisation.
