Use generic indexing (e.g. via integers) to distinguish event participants with possible inclusion of basic thematic properties such as cause, change, be, source, path or goal.

For future reference

Enrich thematic specifications with

• Role names such as (proto)-agent/patient; and
• Features which are instrumental in identifying semantic verb classes (see figure 4.5).
