This feature reflects the fact that in Swedish only imperative and indicative moods exist, of which only the latter is capable of morphosyntactic variation. (Certain remaining subjunctive forms, like `vore', past subjunctive of `vara' (`to be'), are best treated as exceptions.) The values are imperative, finite, supine, infinitive and participle. Of these, the values imperative and finite represent the finite forms and the rest the infinite; it is thus seen that a feature Finiteness is redundant for Swedish. The supine is used only as a main verb in composite tenses while the infinitive often functions as a kind of noun and the participles as adjectives.
