Only the Possessive has the attributes Person, Gender and Number. The gender distinction is present only in the third person singular, marked by the presence or absence of an initial mutation (lenition) on the noun it governs. Number in the third person is also marked only by an initial mutation (eclipsis). So we have `a' (`her'), `a'+L (`his'), and `a'+E (`their'). The attributes Case and Possessor do not apply. (See 2.4.12 for explanation of +L and +E.)
